This is particularly important in the anterior and aesthetic zones, where even a routine extraction may result in alveolar bone resorption and soft tissue collapse, potentially compromising gingival architecture and the final restorative outcome.This lecture explores biologically driven strategies for preserving alveolar bone and soft tissue from the pre-extraction stage through final restoration. Based on the biology of the natural tooth–periodontal complex, it also introduces the concepts and clinical applications of Partial Extraction Therapy.
